Meet Our Team
Personalized support for every season of life
FIND YOUR WAY FORWARD
No matter which therapist you work with, in Pflugerville, TX or virtually in Virginia, Maryland, Washington D.C. and Washington state, you can expect care that is warm, collaborative, and professional without feeling overly clinical or corporate. We take time to understand what brings you to therapy, what you need, and what you hope to gain so your care can be shaped around you, not a one-size-fits-all approach.
Our therapists are committed to continued professional growth through ongoing education, consultation, and collaboration as a team. We also practice cultural humility, recognizing that your identities, experiences, relationships, and environment are all part of your story. We honor the whole person, respect the limits of our own expertise, and strive to provide care where you feel understood rather than judged.
Meet the founder
Hi, I’m Shanbria
My perspective as a therapist has been shaped by both my personal experiences and the many people I've had the privilege of supporting throughout my career. Growing up in a military family gave me the opportunity to live in different places and experience different cultures, which taught me early on that there is no single way to experience life, relationships, or the world around us. After years of moving and experiencing different communities, I made Austin, Texas home in 2016 and have been rooted here ever since.
I've spent more than 10 years working with children and adolescents and have gained experience across school, behavioral health, and private practice settings. Along the way, my work expanded to include adults navigating anxiety, relationships, past experiences, perfectionism, and the pressure that can come with being the person everyone else depends on.
Those experiences eventually led me to create Active Mindset Co. I wanted therapy to feel warm, authentic, and collaborative, while still helping people challenge patterns, learn practical tools, and make changes that extend beyond the therapy room.

Helping people move beyond survival mode so they can create a life that feels more intentional.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and practical, creating a space where you'll feel supported, challenged, and empowered to better understand yourself and create meaningful change
Outside of the therapy room, I love spending quality time with my family, exploring new restaurants with friends, staying active, and expressing my creativity. Whether I'm enjoying time with my pets or simply slowing down with the people I love, I value the small moments that help me feel connected and recharged.

Healing is not about becoming someone new, but about rediscovering the strength, resilience, and authenticity that have always existed within you.
Working with me feels like having a compassionate, nonjudgemental space where you can be your authentic self, feel truly heard, and work together toward healing, clarify, and meaningful change.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, traveling, and making memories with my Labrador Retriever, Paris. I value the simple moments that bring balance, connection, laughter, and joy to everyday life.

What guides our work
Come As You Are
You don't need to have the right words, know exactly what you need, or have everything figured out before coming to therapy. We create a warm, welcoming space where you can show up as you are and feel supported without the pressure to be perfect.
Care That Fits You
Therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. We believe in getting to know you, understanding your experiences, and working together to find an approach that makes sense for your needs and goals. Our therapists bring their own strengths while keeping your individual experience at the center of the work.
Growth in Every Season
Growth doesn't always happen in a straight line. We believe meaningful change comes from understanding yourself, recognizing patterns, and being open to doing things differently. Some seasons bring big changes and others bring smaller shifts, but both can be part of moving forward.
Your next step starts here
YOU’RE ALLOWED TO PUT YOURSELF FIRST.
